Megan Pham is the recipe developer and co-founder of Takes Two Eggs, where she creates approachable Asian recipes with a focus on Vietnamese cooking.
Megan grew up cooking alongside her mom, who taught her Vietnamese recipes, flavors, and techniques that she uses today. Before pursuing food full-time, Megan attended USC and earned her J.D. from UC Davis School of Law. She practiced law for a few years before leaving the legal profession and launching Takes Two Eggs with her husband, Eliezer Martinez, in 2021.

Since then, Megan has personally developed, tested and tasted more than 400 easy recipes, spanning Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Thai and other Asian cuisines for Takes Two Eggs. Megan writes every recipe on this site, while Eliezer specializes in food photography and video production.
Megan prioritizes writing clear, simple recipe instructions to make every recipe attainable for every level of cook. She also revisits recipes from time to time to update them as she learns new techniques, more accessible ingredient substitutions, or receives helpful reader feedback. Her goal is to create the tastiest recipes optimized for time, ease, and flavor.

Megan brings the same research-driven approach she developed as an attorney into the kitchen. Before developing a recipe, she extensively researches the dish’s ingredients, flavor profiles, traditional preparations, and cooking techniques before crafting her own recipe.
She then tests, and refines the recipe for flavor, ingredient ratios, measurements, technique, temperature, and timing before publishing it. For Vietnamese recipes, Megan draws on the cooking knowledge and techniques passed down from her mom, aunts and grandma.
When working with dishes outside of her Vietnamese heritage, Megan researches the cultural context and traditional preparations before developing and testing her version. Her goal is to create recipes that are delicious, authentic, and approachable for the everyday home cook.
Through Takes Two Eggs, Megan and Eliezer have created recipe, photography, and video content for food and lifestyle brands including All-Clad, Barilla, Le Creuset, USA Rice, Nongshim, Nutella, Bibigo, Frigidaire, McCormick’s, Kohler, and Kroger to name a few.
Takes Two Eggs has also been featured by Google Publishers, Elle, Brit + Co, FeedFeed, and Brides.
