The BEST  Sweet & Spicy  Gochujang Cookies

This upgraded version of the Korean fusion cookies are similar to snickerdoodles but with a spicy kick, more flavor balance, and a fluffier cookie bite.

These cookies are made with pantry staples with the addition of gochujang that's readily available at large chain grocers.

📝 Ingredients

Make Gochujang Paste

Combine the gochujang, brown sugar, and butter until blended into the caramel paste.

Whisk Dry Ingredients

Combine and whisk together the dry ingredients, then set aside.

Beat Butter & Sugar

Beat until light and fluffy to aerate butter.

Add Egg & Vanilla

Mix in the butter and vanilla.

Add in Dry Ingredients

Slowly add in flour mixture then chill dough.

Add Gochujang

Add large dollops of the gochujang paste on top of the chilled cookie dough.

Gently Mix Dough

Gently swirl in paste.  *Don't mix in completely.*

Scoop and Bake

Scoop and place dough at least 2 inches apart before baking.
