Enjoy soft and chewy rice cakes in an addicting sweet and spicy sauce!

Rice cakes are the star ingredient, with everything else readily available at your local Korean grocery store!

Prepare the Rice Cakes

Soak rice cakes until softened then drain.

Mix Tteokbokki Sauce

Mix together the gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, and honey.

Cook the Sauce

Cook the anchovy stock and tteokbokki sauce together.

Cook the Rice Cakes

Add rice cakes, and cook until softened.

Add the Fish Cakes

Add fish cakes and cook to reduce sauce until thickened.

Finish with Sesame Oil

Turn off the heat and mix in the sesame oil.

Garnish and Enjoy!

Top with toasted sesame seeds, green onion, and a soft boiled egg—Enjoy!
