Notes

  • Use high-quality tea. The best tea drinks use only high-quality teas. Since this is the base of your iced tea with lime, I recommend using Rishi Jasmine green tea.
  • Measure the temperature of the water. Green tea has delicate tea leaves which require a precise temperature. If you steep the green tea in water that is too hot, you risk burning the tea leaves resulting in bitter tea. If you steep the tea in water that is too lukewarm, the flavors of the tea may not release enough resulting in a less flavorful tea.
  • Steep the tea for another minute for stronger tea. If you prefer your green tea to be stronger, I recommend steeping the tea for an additional minute. Do not steep your green tea for too long! It may result in an unpleasantly bitter iced lime tea.
