The BEST Miso Peanut Butter Cookies

Upgrade your ordinary peanut butter cookie recipe with this umami rich miso version.They're sweet, salty, crunchy and chewy for the ultimate cookie.

These cookies are made with pantry staples with the addition of white miso. This star ingredient is readily found at all large specialty chain grocery stores.

📝 Ingredients

Sift the Dry Ingredients


Combine and whisked together all of the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Beat Butter and Sugar


In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer, beat the butter and sugars until combined and fluffy.

Add Peanut Butter & Miso


Blend until light and fluffy.

Add Egg & Vanilla


Be sure to scrape down the sides of the bowl to fully mix ingredients.

Combine Dry Ingredients


Slowly mix in the dry ingredients until no flour trace is left. Cover the dough and let chill for an hour or overnight.

Assemble Cookies


Roll the dough into a ball. Coat with turbinado sugar, then place on baking sheet before pressing into a disc.
